Description
In this workshop we will explore identifying, treating and addressing trigger points in the upper body. We will practice communication skills while performing trigger point release techniques, and review the effects of releasing trigger points on the autonomic nervous system. We will look at common pain patterns associated with major muscles of the upper body. You will learn how to perform a trigger point treatment to the head, neck and back using different trigger point tools. If you are interested in having a better understanding of trigger points and tools available to assist you, then this is a class for you!
Learning Outcomes:
Students will review anatomy of the upper body. Students will be able to identify 8 major muscles in the upper body and their common trigger points and referred patterns. Students will be able to perform a trigger point sequence for the upper body including the head, neck, arms and back.
